My name is Lonny Lemon and I proudly serve as the Superintendent of Schools for Oak Grove 68. I grew up on a small farm in Aledo, IL. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. I earned my Master's degree in Educational Administration, my Superintendent's degree, and my Doctorate in Education from Western Illinois University. I began my career at Quincy Notre Dame High School teaching science and math courses and also coaching three sports. I later became the assistant principal at QND. I have also served as the high school principal in Pittsfield, IL, and as superintendent of schools for Pawnee CUSD 10 and West Carroll CUSD 314. Prior to coming to Oak Grove I served as the superintendent of schools for Quincy 172, a large district serving 7400 students.
I am married to my wonderful wife Karen, and have three fantastic stepdaughters, Jennifer, Jill, and Jamie. My hobbies include motorcycle riding and traveling to warm climates over Christmas break!
I love Oak Grove and hope to finish my career here working on behalf of your children.
